The HP Eclipse promotes HP’s new ultrabook, the Spectre HP Envy 14, and is a sweepstakes that utilizes Twitter to spark conversation. Every day, HP tweets a question. Users are encouraged to respond, and their response enters them into a drawing to win one of 3 prizes. But those 3 prizes must be “unlocked” by tweets. This starts over everyday, and runs for 3 weeks. Tweets are visualized real-time on the site and with each tweet the sun moves a little closer to the moon. This is an innovative approach to a sweepstakes, and since we were smart about developing the daily question. This allows users to learn about the various features of the Spectre product.
